Marco Gliori recently MC’d at the National Mobile Muster held on the Sunshine Coast in September 2005. The Muster attracts a cross section of Library staff including library managers, Librarians and most importantly Mobile Library truck drivers. Marco was fantastic hosting the conference dinner and used his humour and poetry to provide a superb nights entertainment. He not only entertained the delegates, but he also kept the night’s entertainment and awards on schedule.
Marco’s poems are full of characters, humour and observations of everyday life from the insignificant to the tragic. Marco was truly engaging and stirred his audience both as MC then as presenter in a morning workshop. The hardest gig at any conference is the first presentation the morning after the conference dinner. Marco carried all participants on a wonderful journey through life using poetry. He blends humour and a keen observational eye on life in his poems. Marco was certainly a highlight of the conference.
